Escanaba, MI — Delcomp, Inc. today announced that it has acquired SOFTEK effective January 1, 2002. As two of the longest standing computer technology-based businesses in the region, the combined entity will form the largest firm of its type in Northern Michigan employing over 30 fulltime staff.
Commenting on the transaction Delcomp President Joe Knauf noted, “This business combination comes at the right time for both SOFTEK and Delcomp. As technology use by our customers continues to advance, we were limited to a certain extent in our ability to provide the full range of services required by our customers. Under the new name of Delcomp/SOFTEK, the firm will continue to partner with Lasco Development Corporation of Marquette to serve the businesses in the region with a broad range of technology-based services.
